I am a tourist unfamiliar with Iranian food. Please finish each sentence for me, and tell me what part of speech each word represents. Try to use nouns, adjectives verbs and verb phrases, as well as adverbs and conjunctions, articles and prepositions. You will get a point for each sentence written without error and a point for every different part of speech you identify in each sentence!

1. Adas polow is made with rice and a lot of lentils.
2. Nan-e keshmeshy is a loaf bread with some raisins in it.
3. Mast is made with milk and we serve it with foods.
4.Tas kabab is mixed of some eggplants, gourds, onions, potatoes, tomatoes and meat.
5. Jujeh kabob is roast chicken and usually served with rice.
Dear Faranak, Ali has suggested that I only allocate one point for participation in these quizzes. That's ok by me. So I will make his suggested change.
Your sentences are excellent. You have used many, many parts of speech and have done so with excellence.
In Sentence 4, however, 'is mixed' is a verb phrase, but if you use it as you have, you would say, Tas kabab is mixed with eggplant..."
Another way to say it is 'Tas kabab is a mixture of some eggplants...'

Hi Mehdi, I'm so glad you wrote and told me about yourself. I am very interested in talking to someone familiar with the bazaar atmosphere. I have seen pictures of Afghani Bazaars that are open to the street. Are the bazzars in Tehran like this or are they closed shops? America has a lot of shopping malls. They are usually large one story buildings with
individual shops opening onto a central walking area. All inside. Is this like your Bazzar?
You must be very busy with your young family and business. I admire you for taking the time to learn English. Why are you interested in learning it?
I wish I could see Tehran. But I am older and doubt that I will ever get there. Tell me, when you say you like light music, what kind do you mean? Bahman and I correspond about his love of music. I have discovered a woman here in Colorado who is combining Western and Middle Eastern Music. She plays several Iranian instruments and has a most unusual voice. If you are interested I can send you info on her.

Sorry `about my late replay. I can't work comfortably with the site yet and I could not find your letter.
The first, I should tell you that wrote the letter most with Alireza's help. But I writing this letter mostly myself.
I'm so glad, I have received your first latter.
I know several information from Tehran's Bazaar, because my shop is very near the old Bazaar, I'll arrange several picture of the bazaar and will send them to your email. Please tell me your email for it.
The Tehran's Bazaar is not like Afghan's bazaar, it is like American shopping malls but it is much older and it looks traditional.
I will send your other answers in the next latter.
